Is
there a charge for serving on the Attorney Network?
No. PLP does not charge its Panel Attorneys anything
for serving on the Network.
Does PLP take a “referral fee” for
a case referred to a Panel Attorney?
No. PLP passes this savings on to its
members through the discounted fee schedule.
When
a case is taken under PLP, how does the Panel
Attorney receive payment?
Payment pursuant to the discounted fee schedule
is arranged directly with the PLP member. The
Panel Attorney receives payment from the member,
the same as any other client. There are no claims
to file with PLP.
How
does the referral process work?
As a member of the Panel Attorney Network, you
will receive a call from a PLP representative
regarding a particular case. It is up to you
to decide if you would like to handle this case.
If so, PLP will give the Panel Attorney’s
name and number to the member, who will contact
the office to arrange for a consultation.
How
can a Panel Attorney discontinue serving on
the PLP Network?
Simply by contacting PLP at the home office
to notify them of this choice. In any case,
while serving on the Network, the Panel Attorney
is never under any obligation to accept any
case referral.
